Hollywood diva Sandra Bullock’s partner Bryan Randall has passed away at the age of 57.

According to a report by the PEOPLE, Randall succumbed to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS after a three-year battle, on August 5.

“Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request. We are immensely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours,” a family member told PEOPLE.

The family also requested the media to provide them privacy, so that they can mourn in peace.

Who Was Bryan Randall?

  • Randall was a resident of Portland, Oregon.

  • He was a professional photographer. He owned a photography studio called Bryan Randall Photography. His pictures mostly revolved around children and nature.

  • According to a Page Six report, before he found success as a photographer, Randall also worked as a model. He headlined several campaigns for brands such as Yves Saint Laurent and Hugo Boss. He also featured in the pages of popular fashion magazines such as Vogue Paris and Harper’s Bazaar Singapore. Randall was also an alumnus of the prestigious Los Angeles drama school Anthony Meindl’s Actor Workshop.

  • He had a daughter named Skylar from a previous relationship.

  • Randall met the ‘Miss Congeniality actress while on an assignment to take her son Louis’s photo for his birthday in 2015. The two started to date shortly after and made their red carpet debut at premiere of her movie ‘Our Brand Is Crisis’ in Los Angeles, that year. In 2021, Bullock described him as “the love of my life.”
